Ed & Georgi's 40th Anniversary 22/23 August 2020
_JPG.jpg)
This page gives specific information about the party, and we will update it as we get nearer to the time. There is already a lot of information here on our (B&B) website which you can browse. Just click to go to the home page and follow the links. To get back to this page hover over the space just below the flags on the top right of the home page and a party link will appear.
We realise that the party is high season, but that is when the weather is best and any children/teachers will be on holiday (our actual anniversary is the 30th August, but that is a bank holiday and just before schools go back). If you are intending to come, the key is to BOOK EARLY. There are some deals around (eg. an adult fare Easyjet from Gatwick to Toulouse over the week of the party is now around £80 return), but they WILL go up - same story with accommodation.
GETTING HERE
By air to Toulouse 1 1/4 hrs from us by car
Bergerac 1 1/4 hrs from us
Brive la Gaillard 1 1/4 hrs from us
Carcassonne 2 hrs from us
or by private plane to Cahors aerodrome 20 mins away!
By train to Cahors (20 mins drive from us) from London with one change in Paris (then approx 5 hrs)
By car from Calais is approx 8 1/2 hrs driving time (we often do it in one shot as French motorways are so much easier than in England)
ACCOMMODATION
Our house will be filled up with our children and their kids, but you are welcome to use our pool and we have over 20 acres where you can set up a tent, explore or have picnics (we might perhaps arrange a rounders match in our field......)
There are plenty of options in the area (click below to link to their websites) or search Booking.com etc

The area and what to do
There is a lake with a beach a quarter of an hour away, beautiful walks (the area is known as the French Tuscany), markets, medieval towns, chateaux and churches, horse riding, golf, wine tasting, wonderful food - and there's even Go-Karting 20 mins away. Obviously, we know the area pretty well, so do get in touch if you want any advice with places to stay, restaurants or things to do.
